So I’m kinda scratching my head at this. I read the excellent guide to Wayfinder and was able to set up my separate menus using ultimate parent. The problem however is that once you click on a child item the sub menu disappears.

For example, if my site structure is:

    About
    History
    Organization
    Widgets
    Gears
    Round
    Odd

When I click on About I’d see the sub menu with History and Organization listed. But if I click on history the submenu disappears. I want to keep the navigation consistent when within a specific parent’s folder. I’m using two wayfinder calls to create both menus.

For the top horizontal menu: [[Wayfinder? &startId=`0` &outerTpl=`menuContainer` &outerClass=`nav` &level=`1`]]

For the sub horizontal menu that is under the first: [!Wayfinder? &startid=`[[UltimateParent]]` &outerTpl=`innerContainer` &outerClass=`nav`!]

You can view the page online http://www.agentsofscorpio.com/

I’ve tried using just [*parent*] instead of ultimate parent and get the same result. I figure this has to be something minor I’m over looking.

You have a typo in the startId of the sub horizontal menu: change startid to startId and it should be fine (yes, I tested it wink)

      cheers/k

Its what I get for spending to much time working in non-case senstive languages.

Your guide by the way was amazing, aside from my own typo it was incredibly easy to follow, saved me a ton of time really digging into the Wayfinder details. grin

        Cheers!
