Modx as user management system?

Hi folks,

Could somebody experienced with ModX tell me if ModX is feasable for user management, and only that.

Are there limits in scale, e. g. can I set up 500 users in 50 groups?

What do I have to take care of, what has to be considered?

I love modx and I used it for one of my free projects, starting 2007. So this is why I thought I could use it for another project’s user management as well?!

I don’t think the amount of groups is limited, should be at least theoretically possible. Though, don’t know anyone yet who has tried 50 groups.

I would certainly recommend MODxBB, particularly because phpBB is awesome at managing users into groups, roles and ranks.

Uses Evo though and mostly recommended for community driven projects.

I tried UserCake, open source, which gave me a good start.
However, lots of programming to do over there...
