I’am sorry Paul, but I have exactly the same problem with this 0.9 version :

    No tag is interpreted, so all appear in the output HTML like HTML comments :

    <quickedit:content />

Here is a heading

Here is some text

Here is another heading

Here is a subheading

Here is another subheading

    Is it a problem with quickEdit ?

      I’m not sure what the problem would be. I have this running on four separate installations of MODx on live web sites, and it runs fine. The versions of MODx I’m running are 0.9.5 and 0.9.6. I haven’t yet upgraded to 0.9.6.1, so maybe there are some issues with the latest version, if that’s what you’re running.

      Make sure OnWebPagePrerender is checked (and no other events). You could try turning off all other plugins, or one by one until the TOC plugin works. Then maybe adjust the order that the plugins are called, or, if necessary, turn one of them off.

      The only other thing I can think of is possible problems with versions of PHP. One of my servers runs 5.1.4. Another runs 4.3.11. It works on both of those.

                I have to say that I didn’t do anything. I just downloaded the latest from Resources and installed it.

                I played around a bit with the $modx->documentOutput and $source variables out of my own curiosity, but I didn’t change any of the code.

                  Quite sorry Sottwell if I deformed your remarks : sad… my English is very bad grin

                  I test version 0.9.2, but I have a problem:

                  I miss the closing tag
open to the beginning of the TOC.

                  I have the impression that I had the same problem in the previous version.

                  Not very serious, but the code is not valid XHTML embarrassed.

                  Can somebody test?

                  Thanks. smiley

                    Hello, all. We have been using Page_TOC 0.9.0 very successfully on MODx 0.9.6. We use it particularly to create large documents out of chunks. We typically output twice on the same page. Once is at the start of the page as a typical table of contents. The second is as a flyout table of contents that follows the reader in the margin so they can view the table of contents without having to return to the top of the page.

                    This was working perfectly well with version 0.9.0 as demonstrated on this page: http://www.spiritualoutreach.org/masterplan1page.html

                    We have just tried doing the exact same thing on another site with 0.9.2 and it does not work. The table of contents is displayed at the top of the page but the flyout table of contents does not display. It is not a CSS or a display issue because, if we hard code text, it displays. It appears there is no output being injected into the div. Here is the malfunctioning page: http://www.spiritualoutreach.com/cjbook1page.html

                    Here is the html of the page which is working:

                    [[Ditto? &parents=`44` &depth=`7` &display=`all` &sortBy=`longtitle` &sortDir=`ASC` &tpl=`CompositeDoc` &noResults=`<p>The requested document is currently unavailable.</p>`]]

                    and here is the html for the working flyout TOC:

Display Table of Contents

[*content*]

                    Here is the page using 0.9.2 that is not working:
                    {{donationCJbook}}

                    [[Ditto? &parents=`104` &depth=`7` &display=`all` &sortBy=`longtitle` &sortDir=`ASC` &tpl=`CompositeDoc` &noResults=`<p>The requested document is currently unavailable.</p>`]]

                    {{donationCJbook}}

                    (recall this TOC_OUTPUT is working)
                    and the non-working flyout menu:

{{donationCJbook}}Display Table of Contents

[*content*]

                    I’d imagine this is a brain cramp on my part but I don’t see it. I mostly copied and pasted the working html and CSS. Thanks - John

                      Hi Everyone, I hope someone can help with a weird problem I get using Page TOC Generator.

                      I run ModX 0.9.6.1p2 and use the Page TOC Generator plugin on most pages of my website. It works absolutely fine everywhere.

                      I use it in 2 types of pages:
                      1 - in articles to create a table of content (works perfectly everywhere)
                      2 - on a photolibrary page, again to create a table of content (works fine, until I put over a certain amount of code on the page)

                      You can see the photolibrary with plugin working correctly on this page: http://www.hedgelink.org.uk/index.php?id=17. Note the "In this category" heading on the top right, which is generated using the Page TOC Generator plugin.

                      On this page: http://www.hedgelink.org.uk/index.php?id=15, the plugin doesn’t seem to work correctly. The "In this category" heading is generated, but that’s where it ends.

                      Both pages use the same template with the following plugin setup:

                      When I remove a large chunk of the code that generates the library photos, suddenly the table of content is generated again.

                      At the moment the HTML isn’t valid on either of these pages. But as far as I can see that’s not the problem, because on one page the plugin works, while on the other it doesn’t.

                      I hope someone can point me in the right direction.

                      Thanks!
