we should be able to show hide certain ones from appearing based on document id !
Hi,
This is a handy little snippet. Just wanted to report what I’m seeing...
I’m using MODx 0.9.6.1. I had previously used ListSiteMap 0.9.0-1 to pump out a simple map. I decided to get ListSiteMap 0.9.6, the latest version.
Sure enough, it pumps out a simple map. But I wanted to try showing everything, published or non-published. I tried doing some parm overrides, and none of them did anything. (&showUnpubs, &titleOfLinks, etc.) It occurred that maybe the snippet does not accept any parms but the 2 explicitly mentioned ones in the doc. So I set the parms directly in the snippet code. Still nothing!
And here’s the punchline, I went back to the 0.9.0-1 snippet code. NOW if I do a straight call, no parms, I unexpectedly get everything, published and non-published!!? Pretty funny that I got what I originally wanted, but almost by mistake, and not using the snippet in the documented fashion. As far as I know, default is just published stuff.
Any thoughts?
Thanks, Samba
I like this snippet very much and have tried it out today, however I am unable to make the (published) documents that are not in the menu show up, the children documents of the menu also not showing up.
I don’t know what I did wrong.
I tried the combination of these:
[[listSiteMap?LSM_root=0]] with cacheable and uncacheable
[!ListSiteMap?LSM_root=0!] with cacheable and uncacheable
[[listSiteMap]] with cacheable and uncacheable
[!ListSiteMap!] with cacheable and uncacheable
And finally this one is a bit confusing to me, what I understand is that 1 is true and 0 is false and the default setup is ’1’, so that means all my published documents should show up, but they aren’t. So I thought ok maybe 0 is true, so I changed to 0, but still, I am only seeing the five pagetitle links that are in the wayfinder menu.
// $showNotInMenu [ 1 | 0 ]
// Decide to include items that are not in menu. This will show the
// items not in menu including there children items as well.
$showNotInMenu = 1;
I am still using v0.9.6 Modx and the snippet is v0.9.7. I first tried it about month ago with v0.9.6, was getting the same result.
just wanted to let you know that 0.9.7 gives out and extra </li> tag therefore it doesnt pass validation. had to downgrade because of this:(
This snippet has gone fallow, apparently. Not too many downloads, and support has "left the building".
I don’t have a fix, but an idea... I’m just learning a little about Ditto, and if I’m not mistaken, there’s probably a very simple Ditto call using that which will produce a sitemap. Ditto can show many, many views of your documents, and I can’t imagine this would be hard. I’m way too busy now, but if I find a way to do this, I’ll publish it here.
Cheers, Samba
Use the previous version of this snippet, it works like a charm!
although this little snippet is excellent another problem is that when a parent contains children that are "not shown in menu" an empty <ul></ul> tag pair is created thus failing strict XHTML validation. any ideas?
