Great contribution enidan ... please upload it as a new version to the breadcrumb add-on in the code Repository. Thanks!

Done as 0.9e !!!
It’s a little thing but I’m happy because it’s my first contribution to an open source project
Thanks! I’ve not been able to devote time to this snippet and its updates for a long time. I’m glad you could cut your open source teeth on it.

Home (id #1)
page2 (id #2)
page3 (id #3)
page3a (id #4)
page3aa (id #5)
page3ab (id #6)
page3aaa (id #7)
page3ac (id #8)
page4 (id #9)
page5 (id #10)
I am currently using Breadcrumbs 0.9e.
My problem is this...
On page3aaa, I want to use Breadcrumbs, but I want the Home link to actually be page3ab. I am using the following call: [!Breadcrumbs? &homePageId=[`6`] !].
However, my breadcrumbs actually display as: page3a >> page3ab >> page3aaa. So in other words, it is actually starting the home page at page id #5 rather than #6.
Any ideas as to how I can accomplish this?
Returning to the topic of how to make menutitle show up as the default rather than pagetitle, here’s what I did:
(isset($titleField)) ? $titleField : $titleField = ’menutitle’;
That works. And in fact, I would recommend this being the default behavior for the snippet. There menutitle is a very useful way of providing a shorter version of a title, whether for navigation tabs or breadcrumbs.

I agree. As I’ve said before, this thing was written before MODx (and menutitle) existed. I am looking at all the "wish list" items as I intend to look at a rewrite.
[I may regret this deeply but...]
Now would be a good time to chime in with any other wiz-bang ideas for the next release.

The ability to hide parents has been brought up. The case being that the parents are just empty containers used for accordion structures and shouldn’t show in the breadcrumb trail.
Susan, That’s exactly what I was trying to get at. Guess I didn’t quite phrase it appropriately.
Hide parents...
Well I do have a new feature that allows you to specify hiding any number of specific documents. Would that cover it? Otherwise, I’m not sure what the logic would look like to determine what parents (grandparents, great grandparents, etc.) to ignore, and which to include.
Could you show me a sample structure so I can follow along?

Ok, so let’s say I have a site set up as follows...
I have a "Home" page at the highest level in the tree which has pages and containers under it like so:
Home
-About Us
-Contact Us
-Inspiration
-Request Form
-Screenplays
-Title #1
-Title #2
-History
-Characters
-Synopsis
-Loglines
-Request A Copy
-Biography
In the tree above, the container named "Title #2" under Screenplays needs to behave like it is an entirely new website. In other words, I need the Breadcrumbs on the Title #2 page to start out like this:
Title #2 (On the Title #2 Page)
Title #2 >> History (On the History Page)
Title #2 >> Characters (On the Characters Page)
However, right now the best I can seem to get is: Screenplays >> Title #2 >> History (On the History Page for example). I can achieve that by hiding the "Home" breadcrumb, but I also need to hide the "Screenplays" breadcrumb.
How can I go about doing this?
