    Has anyone used Disqus for comments on a Revo site?

    It’s very simple to integrate using the Universal Code supplied but there is one part which I’m not sure how to configure or what it does.

    // The following are highly recommended additional parameters. Remove the slashes in front to use.
    var disqus_identifier = ’unique_dynamic_id_1234’;
    var disqus_url = ’http://example.com/permalink-to-page.html’;

    The explanation on the Disqus site is as follows...
    disqus_identifier tells Disqus how to uniquely identify the current page.
    disqus_url tells Disqus the location of the page for permalinking purposes.

    Cheers

      Place a tag in there and that will do.
      This variables are a unique identifier and the link to the page where the comments belongs to.

       // The following are highly recommended additional parameters. Remove the slashes in front to use.
          var disqus_identifier = 'post_[[~id]]';
          var disqus_url = '[[++site_url]][[*alias]]';

        Disqus works great! Can easily be used with Evo or Revo.

          In Revolution you can also do:

          [[~id? &scheme=`full`]] (eliminates need for site_url)

            My site has this:
                var disqus_identifier = 'mhfwd_[[*id]]';
                var disqus_url = '[[++site_url]][[~[[*id]]]]';

            Though I much prefer the syntax Patrick posted as well.

            I do think it’s important to use the resource ID in the identifier, cause if you put an alias or link in there you will lose your comments if that changes.
