      noticed something while developing on the good ’ol localhost, in ie 6, 7 and 8 when I post a reply using quip and I use an apostrophe the post shows the html character code/number for it. Anyone know what this is about? All other browsers are fine, but I am 99% sure that the site I am developing for the client will have mostly IE visitors.
      Tried allowed tags and it didn’t work.

      current version of revo as of this posting date 2.0.6-pl
      quip version 1.2.3
      apache 2.2.17
      mysql 5.1.41
      php 5.3.4

        Also I recognized those messages in error log:
        (ERROR @ /index.php) quipComment: Attempt to set NOT NULL field deletedby to NULL


        I reported the issue on github.

        Strange, that nobody hit that problem, yet.

          That problem pops up from time to time; it depends on the configuration of your database.

            I’m just trying to translate the properties.inc.php. There are several phrases like
            $_lang['quip.prop_reply_tpladdcomment_desc'] = 'The add comment form. Can either be a chunk name or value. If set to a value, will override the chunk.';

            I don’t really get it - if it is set to a value, how could there possibly be a chunk that could be overridden? huh Of course a chunk could exist that was once used for this purpose, but as soon as I fill in a value, the chunk isn’t related to the property anymore, so it’s not overridden, it’s replaced... Or am I missing something here? Please enlighten me! wink

              Yeah, that needs to be rewritten. Translate it as:

              The add comment form. If set, will use the chunk name specified as the add comment form.

                Ah, okay, thanks for clarifying this. So it’s not possible to enter HTML directly? That’s what I thought when I first read it.

                    I’m a little bit puzzled by the "parent" property.

                    The contents of the tables [prefix]_quip_comment and [prefix]_quip_comments_closures are attached.

                    The structure of my threaded thread is
                    id 2
-- id 4
-- -- id 5
-- id 6
id 3

                    When I choose 0 as parent, all comments are shown. When I choose 2, only comment #2 is shown. I’d expect so see the whole "subthread" that starts with id 2... When I choose 4, the comments #2 and #4 are shown, and when I choose 5, the comments #2, #4 and #5 are shown. So when parent is not 0, it seems to determine the deepest leaf of the subthread, not the root...? huh

                    I guess I’ll never need this, but nevertheless I’d like to understand it. wink
