- This version is NOT BACKWARD COMPATIBLE to older versions

Where can I change settings here after setup?

Go to System Settings and choose the "babel" namespace (see attached screenshot).

Okay, thank you again. Not searched for other nemspace in settings.
New version will be available as a normal update in package managment? Need to test it out extremely the next few days.
Should feature request be pasted in GitHub or better elsewhere?

Before posting feature request keep in mind that I’m currently working on the following issues which will be ready in a few hours:

* Possibilty to remove existing translation links
* Possibilty to add translation links to existing resource (instead of creating new resources)
* Use POST instead of GET variable to handle Babel actions

Some changes to the usability will be applied, too. But everthing will be compatible with 2.0.0-beta. I’ll keep you posted!

Hey!

I unexpectedly had to deal with some other things today but finially I was able to finish my work on Babel for version 2.1.0-beta. As you can see at this commit I added and changed a lot of the code behind. But Babel 2.1.0-beta should be compatible with 2.0.0-beta.

Here are some of the new features (have look at the attached screenshots, too):

- Added Frech translation: Thanks to Romain (MeltingMedia).
- New Babel-Box:
- A chunk is used to generate the language links (mgr/babelBoxItem).
- Changed CSS.
- Added JavaScript (for the langauge layers, see below).
- All languages (contexts) of current group are displayed even if there are no links defined.
- If there is no link to a language it’s background is light gray.
- When mouseovering a language link a layer is displayed where you can
- create a translation (new resource) if no link is defined.
- manually link the translation to an existing resource if no link is defined.
- remove a link if a link is defined.
- Added validation to keep the babel TV clean
- Added several keys to the lexicon: French translation still pending.

Please notice the beta: I appreciate you to test it and give me feedback and suggestions for improvements. There was no time to test every detail.

I hope you like the changes and new features. If not please tell me how we may improve it.

My future plans for the Babel extra are: Making it a full multi-language extra which let’s you easily:
- define your languages/contexts (no need for step 0. from readme.txt (setting up contexts, context settings like cultureKey, gateway plugins, etc...)
- provide an easily configurable gateway plugin for your contexts
- custom manager page to configure your complete ML-sites via mouse clicks (I think the current configuration is ok for technical users. But I think for non-technical users it is still a challenge to setup a ML-site)


Looking forward to get your feedback. I’ll update the extra in the package management as soon as possible.
