I have just downloaded your Version of FormIt today 18th Nov. (1.5.0-rc2)
I just can’t make the email hook work. Modx Version 2.04.
First I thought, my system smtp setting were wrong, but then I tried your Example on
http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/FormIt.Examples.Simple+Contact+Page using the gmail Smtp.
No errors, just nothing happens, no redirect. As soon as I delete email hook, redirect hook works.
Emailchunk does exist.
This is my Formit call:

I found out that you removed SMTP Settings in FormIt (1.1.6) and FormIt uses now the modx system Settings for SMTP.
You should update the tutorial on http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/FormIt.Examples.Simple+Contact+Page
The Example with &smtpEnabled=`1` smtpAuth=`1` smtpHost=`smtp.gmail.com` (...) does not work since then.
