there are some entries in the error log regarding TinyMCE that occur repeatedly (I’ve changed the domain prefix for this posting):

My error log expanded to over a 1,000 KB with a long string of the same message repeated dozens of times. I have TinyMCE 4.0.4 but the error message is in the same ball park.
MODx Revolution 2.0.4-pl2

MySQL Version: 4.1.25
is pdo_mysql installed: yes

PS. Upgraded to 4.1.2-rc1

Thanks for the link to the other thread. So this seems to be TinyMCE related.

I don’t know if this is important: The first two entries in the error log I posted refer to a value set by the modx installation (upload_tmp_dir: mydomain_T0O6V8LYFV).

I have got an issue with TinyMCE and the language property not existing. The TinyMCE plugin has a call to $tiny->properties[’language’] but I can’t see if or where this property is set.

Apache produces a file not found error:
File does not exist: /var/www/xxxx/htdocs/assets/components/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/langs/.js, referer: http://xxx.com/manager/index.php?a=3&ctx=web&v=204pl2

The line of code affected in the TinyMCE plugin is:
$modx->regClientStartupScript($tiny->config[’assetsUrl’].’jscripts/tiny_mce/langs/’.$tiny->properties[’language’].’.js’);

I’m trying to get TinyMCE to remove div tags when using either the Cleanup tool or the Remove Formatting tool, preferably both.

For the Cleanup tool, it would appear that I want to use the "invalid_elements" setting. And it would appear that the proper place to insert this is in the assets/components/tinymce/xconfig.js file, where there is an empty variable for it. This alone doesn’t seem to work; is there anything else that needs to be done in order to implement this setting? (I did also try removing the div tag from the valid_elements list in the same file, but that didn’t help either.)

For the Remove Formatting tool, according to TinyMCE documentation I can use the "removeformat_selector" setting. Where is the correct place to add this? It doesn’t appear in any of the files by default. I thought the correct place to add it would be core/components/tinymce/tinymce.class.php, but that isn’t doing the job.

I’ve also found a possible package upgrade issue. On a system that has been upgraded from 4.0.4-rc2 through each intermediate version to 4.1.2-rc1 on MODx from 2.02 through to currently 2.04 -- and using package management and the modxcms.com provider all along -- the file assets/components/tinymce/jscripts/tiny_mce/tiny_mce.js was never upgraded. It was still at minorVersion 2.7 from 2009-09-22, whereas the current version is 3.8 from 2010-06-30. Because I still had the system setting tiny.use_uncompressed_library at false, it was using the old file.

This causes me to have some fundamental doubt in the ability of package management to automatically replace old files. Is there some known and fixed bug that might have caused this?
