This is an auto-generated topic for SimpleSearch 1.1.1-pl by splittingred.

Brief Description:

A simple search solution for MODx Revolution. Loosely based on AjaxSearch for Evolution (minus the ajax). Only searches Resources; does not search dynamic content.

I have problem with &containerTpl=
this parameter is ignored.

How do I style the SimpleSearchForm? I’ve tried putting nearly everything I can think of in my style sheet, and nothing works. I can’t find instructions for this anywhere. I have a default installation of this Extra Package on Modx Revolution. What is the class for the search form? I am trying to eliminate the borders, and I’m at a loss.

And yes, I’m a very experienced user of CSS. I just need to know the name of the class to use. Please?

We need this SimpleSearch to look in certain TV’s of a document.
I saw that this is on the roadmap.
What is the status on this?

read the rtfm area http://rtfm.modx.com/display/ADDON/SimpleSearch.SimpleSearch for simple search and added a &currentPageTpl=`currentpage_chunk` to the call using the default chunk in the elements chunk file as a guide of what is needed, essentially just changed the class and it doesn’t seem to work, yet if I change the original template it does, of course I can’t do that because it will be over written with the next update.

Been scratching my head on this one, cause i know it’s my fault, but once again dunno where the problem is.

Are the chunks supposed to be installed under the resource tree or located inside the components dir under simplesearch/elements/chunks? I Installed it but the chunks are not under the resource tree. Maybe not part of the current version yet?

The default chunks are file-based to encourage you to not edit or overwrite them, as your edits would be erased on upgrades.

You are recommended, however, to create your own chunks in the MODx manager, and use those for your &tpl-based overrides.
