What’s the difference to the MetaX Package (
http://modxcms.com/extras/package/?package=708) which is already available for some months?

There isn’t a huge difference between the two outside of MetaX working for Evolution and Revolution. They both support the same base tags granted MetaX 1.3 releases some new tags based on user feedback.
If I recall correctly wtrainer didn’t like how metax functioned so he created this to better meet his needs (
http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,55571.msg320048.html#msg320048). I know personally I use MetaX, but then again the developer works with me and if I recall correctly created this based on my request. I’ll ask if he can point out the differences a touch more for you.

MetaX does not do CSS or JS tags. MetaFormat doesn’t work on Evo, MetaX work on Evo and Revo. MetaX 1.3 will have the option to use Dublin Core standards and use CSS and JS tags. 1.3 is going to be released sometime tonight.

Hmm, ok so it seems there aren’t that much differences. Maybe you (thekiller237 and wtrainer) could bring your packages together? I prefer to have only one package for one issue. Sometimes there are several packages for the same issue. As a user or developer you have to check every package to find out which one is the best. Sometimes this can be very annoying when you want to quickly build up your site.
There might be some problems which can’t be solved with only on package but in the case of meta tags I think this should be possible...
