Support/Comments for Virtual Aliases 1.0-rc1

So which version should we use for Revolution?

The code documented in this thread is almost 2 years old. This is now the official package download: Virtual Aliases 1.0.0-rc1, Released Oct 01, 2010 by b03tz
But an update by Stan as of 2012-02-21 is less than a year old as of this posting. And yet Stan's version is still 0.0.3. So the more recent code has an older version ID, and people continue to install the older version with the higher version ID.

This is confusing the hell out of me. Two different versions from two different developers both with the same name.

PS VA won't install via Package Manager for me.

The version from Stan is for Evo. But the package hosted on MODX extras is for Revolution.

Any news on if and when there'll be a working version for Revo?
