I have two issues using TinyMCE in a richtext TV and would appreciate any guidance.

First, I would like to be able to turn Rich Text off on a resource (so that code can easily be placed in the Resource Content) and still use a richtext TV that uses TinyMCE. But if on the resource’s page settings I have Rich Text turned off, the TV display changes to a narrower editing window and there are just 9 buttons at the bottom of the screen rather than the toolbars across the top. It seems like it stops using the advanced theme in this instance.

Second, I would like to make the richtext TV editing window taller, closer to the height of the resource content window. I have tried adjusting the height settings in tiny.js and both tinymce.panel.js files but that didn’t work. Any ideas where that is getting set?

Additionally I have turned on spellchecker and the first obvious issue is that the toolbar icon is completely blank. I noticed some commented out code in tiny.js that looks like it may address this in a future version. Yes?

OK, I found a solution to setting the richtext TV window height. It is not controlled by any TinyMCE settings at all but by a manager template. In the file:

/manager/templates/default/element/tv/renders/input/richtext.tpl

change the rows="15" to something more, like rows="25". This controls the height of the textarea that TinyMCE fills.

I was also bugged by the fact that I was getting a horizontal scrollbar on the TV tab due to the TinyMCE window being wider than the next container. That also turned out to be in a manager template:

/manager/templates/default/resource/sections/tvs.tpl

On line 19, change style="padding-left: 221px" to something less; 200px worked for me.

I wonder why the insert link on the live site goes to front page, not the link.htm template.
