I have a question: is it possible to change the default path inserted when I click "Batch upload" from {assets_path}images/ to {base_path}images/?

Oh yeah, also: files with .JPG as extension (in capitals) aren’t picked up by the "Batch upload" script. Feature-request via GitHub?

Yes, you can change it, and you can use the following placeholders:

{core_path}
{base_path}
{assets_path}

Yes, please. That’s definitely an oversight.

I’ll post the .JPG problem to github. About the paths: I found that those are the available paths, but by default {assets_path} is placed in there. Is there a way to override which one is placed there as default?

Posted it on GitHub. Is it possible to change this manually in the PHP somewhere for the time being? My clients are really a bunch of idiots (don’t really know how they manage to run a company, but nevertheless they do )...
