In my default blog template, I have use the [tt]If[/tt] statement snippet to control the output based on whether the content is a single blog entry or a list of entries. I was trying to use an [tt]If[/tt] snippet call like the following:


But it produces no output. I went through every permutation to ensure the presence of QuipReply inside the "then" was the culprit. For example, the same [tt]If[/tt] without [tt]QuipReply[/tt] produces something like:

I also tried putting the [tt]Quip[/tt] and [tt]QuipReply[/tt] calls in a chunk and changing the original [tt]If[/tt] to [tt][[!If? &subject=`[[!*single-blog-post]]` &operator=`notempty` &then=`[[$blog-comments]]` ]][/tt]
That, too, made no difference, nor did putting [tt]QuipReply[/tt] into its own [tt]If[/tt].

When [tt]QuipReply[/tt] occurs outside of an [tt]If[/tt], the comment form renders as expected.
