open the comments.easy2gallery.php, delete the top lines:

hello,

i have questions:

1. how make 4 random images from one gallery?

[!easy2? &rgid=`2`  &limit=4!]

is not working

2. how show ALL images from one gallery?

[!easy2? &rgid=`3`!]

also not work for me

I hope you’re using the latest revision (r227)

use like this:
[!easy2? &gid=`19` &orderby=`random`!]

rgid only shows 1 image.

I haven’t apply the limitless number to the gallery.
Are you sure about this?
How about just make limit to your maximum image number?

Hello,

I tried to install r227 on MODx 1.0.4. just a while ago. I followed the given instructions but I at that step "System Check" I get a red ’X’ in front of ’PHP ZipArchive’ and ’config.easy2gallery.php’. (PHP-Zip module is not activated on my Server yet)
What do I have to do to get the installation started?

Huumm...
the PHP ZipArchive is needed to use the zip features inside the easy 2 gallery.
if you don’t really need it, i’ll make the work around, but the cause is that you can not download or upload zip.
If this is your localhost, please follow the PHP’s instruction how to make this active.

the config.easy2gallery.php will be created once you run the installer.

I think this one is stable enough.
EDIT: except the i18n.
I’ll post later.

I’m moving forward for RC2 right now.

The differences are only the features, not the stability.
But, I still undisclose the future features. tongue

just updated e2g-1.4.0-rc1-r229.zip

using modx’s stripAlias() function, so if you enable the TransAlias plugin, it will use it as well.

and the unresolved the non-latin zip content, perhaps PHP’s bug.

[li]changed the installer & templates behavior on the ZipArchive existance[/li]
[li]updated the default paramater of slideshows[/li]
[li]applied the thumbnail’s parameters to slideshow:
since slideshow takes the thumbnail image creator to make the resized images, since this revision it can also be applied the thumbnail’s parameters:

&resize_type (inner | shrink | resize)
and apply the slideshow background parameter to get the RGB color (&ss_bg=`rgb` &thbg_red=`255` &thbg_green=`255` &thbg_blue=`255` )

just tested this, and this is a bad idea for me.
