Support/Comments for Easy 2 Gallery 1.4.0-RC1

I think Easy 2 Gallery is a best gallery modul in MODx Evolution.

DO NOT over write.

Rename the old folder.
Copy the config.easy2gallery.php to the appropriate folder of the new version (see the instruction for further info).

I wonder, how do you guys really need the comment feature?
Is it useful?

I personally am not using it at the moment, but think that it is an interesting feature, possibly for the future.
Why, is it causing a problem?

I just want to pull it off from the core feature, and attach it as a plugin instead.
AFAIK, no one use this feature, though.

Or perhaps, does it depend on the site’s purpose ?
May be, will it be different if it’s used on photo centric website ?

It would be much better as a plugin, in my opinion. Which reminds me, I’ve got to finish that voting plugin one of these days! So many projects, so little time!

Regarding the comment feature, I think it is useful as a replacement for the MaxiGallery+Jot solution.

Some things I’d personally like to see in the future:

1) An easy way to not include any libs. Of course this can be quickly accomplished as it is right now, but I think it would be nice if there were a ’none’ option built-in.
2) Remove the markup for the css/table layout options from the module and make it templatable, or include a ’none’ option. I use the module only for image management and I had to hack the code to remove the markup.
3) Manual image sorting. E.g. something that works like the drag-and-drop menu_index sorting that the Doc Manager offers would be great.
