Don’t know if this is a Quip issue or an "IF" issue, but:

When I try using Quip whith a snippet call from inside the "IF" snippet, it doesn’t display at all. 0.3 did display, but just reloaded the page when submitting, without anything happening. It seems to break the IF snippet, when I put some content before the Quip call that content doesn’t display either. When I use same call outside the IF snippet it works fine.

Use latest QUIP, IF and Revo RC-1.

Try calling If uncached: [[!If

Same result with every cached/uncached combination I try... that means no display of the comment form.

Using the IF snippet isn’t important, I can solve it in another way, but perhaps someone else will have the same problem so it might be worth looking into.

EDIT: With the new Quip just released I can display the comments inside IF snippet, but not the form for entering new comments. It is that part that seems to break with IF. But I’ll test some more later. Very cool new functionality btw! (I think there is a typo in the new instructions, it says "threading" where I think it should be "threaded"?

I’ve been testing this a bit more and I get strange results, I must be missing something obvious.

When I call the reply part of Quip like this:
[[!QuipReply? &thread=`[[*id]]`]]
it works fine.

When I try:
[[If?
&subject=`[[*pagetype]]`
&operand=``
&then=`

[[!QuipReply? &thread=`[[*id]]`]]
`
]]

or when I try:

[[*pagetype:ifempty=`Test
[[!QuipReply? &thread=`[[*id]]`]] `]]

then the form for submitting comments doesn’t show up (nor does the text "Test").

I’ve tried cached and uncached in all combinations I can think of. The condition for "pagetype" is true, works fine without the QuipReply call. Also I use the IF snippet together with other snippets without problems, as well as the list comments part. That’s why I ask here in the Quip thread.

What am I missing here?
