Is there a way to skip having Category > Products in category > then description of product and just go : Click on Product > straight to description of that one?

as far as I got the question you made a page exactly for partucular products and did not wish to list any other products from your store on a specific page, right?

Here is a demo:

So you must change your snippet call from what you got now to add this &amp;cat=`your_special_category_id`
In my case here:

the ecwid call was [!ecwid? store_id=`127343` &amp;enable_seo_catalog=`true`!] which listed 2 demo categories
Since I got the category id of vegetables from URL when clicked on the Vegetables category, I got Vegetables category id

URL was:
http://seledka.russianscrafts.com/modx-1.0.2/ecwid-ecommerce-demos/ecwid-demo-modx-all-categories-listing.html#ecwid:category=282299&mode=category&offset=0&sort=normal
So, obviously the explored category id was ’282299’.

Next, I changed the call to [!ecwid? store_id=`127343` &amp;enable_seo_catalog=`true` &amp;cat=`282299`!]
Also, customized a snippet’s line #56 under # Advanced settings
from $params[’ecwid_default_category_id’] = ’’;
to $params[’ecwid_default_category_id’] = isset($cat) ? intval($cat) : ’’;

So the page:

I just ran across this post; either I've missed it or wasn't paying attention at the time. Has anyone else had any experiences with it they would be willing to share?

I must admit I'm a bit hesitant, as I'm not too sure if I care for having all of this data stored on somebody else's computers, and I found the privacy policy worded in such a way that it appears to only apply to my data, not my customer's data.

Particularly, any comparison to FoxyCart? Pricing for their Pro version is comparable, $17 to FC's $19.

I've signed up for a free account; I'll set it up in my demo Pet Shop and see how it goes.
