I am excited to try this. I am bummed, however, to see it doesn’t support Paypal Website payments standard yet. Any ETA?

Looks great and has a nice user interaction. Still seems to be the same problem of having to manage two admins. One for content and one for commerce.

Is MODx Warehouse in active development? I think Shopkeeper and FoxyCart are currently the only options right now.

Ecwid already supports PayPal Express Checkout. The information on how to set it up is available in our knowledge base: http://kb.ecwid.com/PayPal

PayPal Standard will be added in the next major Ecwid version. It will be released in 1 month approx.

It looks like Ecwid allows CSV import, does it allow XML too? I would like to manage the product info in MODx, that way you would only need one admin login and hide Ecwid from the user.

You’re right, it’d be very convinient to manage all things in one place.
However there is no software that is a great CMS and a great shopping cart at the same time, unfortunately. It is either a good CMS or a good cart, so to make a good site we have to combine these parts : -)

You can try showing the Ecwid control panel in iframe inside MODx.

XML import isn’t supported yet, only CSV files are allowed to import. Please submit a feature request here: ideas.ecwid.com

Anyway as soon as Ecwid gets an API (and it will get it), it will be possible to integrate Ecwid and MODx closer.

What wrong? My translations don`t show in pages. Made ecwid_fi.js file with translation tool, put it to the server (root folder of www pages). Added line into ecwid.php file so that line which loads js is before starting script. So my html source looks like this:

But There`s no Finnish translations anywhere! All still english. Is this ecwid or snippet issue? I think it`s ecwid issue now.

There`s store id 1003 in the ecwid snippet. Should this change to your own id? I think it should. Seems to work without change.

Is there possibility to add code which loads lang js file(s)in ecwid placeholders. Attributes like other placeholder have.

Now you have to place it in ecwid.php code which is quite ugly way to do it. Of course this attribute should put the lang js file to right place.

This issue is caused by the fact that your ecwid_fi.js file has some syntax errors.
Since you include the translated labels using external JS file, you don’t need to have the <script> and </script> tags in it. These tags are necessary if you insert the generated code to your page source directly.

So,
1. Remove the <script> and </script> tags from the ecwid_fi.js file.
2. Save the changes and check your store.

If you still don’t see your translation, check the browser JS error console for errors.
