I am really interested in this, but I am at a loss on how to install phpids the instructions on the site it states:

Just download the package – unpack it in your application or include folder. For productive usage you only need the phpids-0.x/lib folder

do I just use the lib folder then inside the zip? and where should I place it? also where best to place the htaccess file? sorry new at this, but i don’t want to get a sql injection, not sure how secure the eform is with just captcha running.

Currently eForm is save on SQL injections and captchas only protect against machine commits of a form, not against SQL injections.

PHPIDS does not protect you, it is an intrusion detections system.

First you have to install PHPIDS by downloading the compressed file, unpack the compressed file and upload it to your webserver. The htaccess file should be uploaded to the lib folder of PHPIDS.

but just to make sure I did it correctly,
1. I placed the HTACCESS file provided by your plugin into the phpids/lib folder (outside of the IDS folder)
2. I uploaded the phpids folder to the assets/libs/ folder of my modx installation,
3. and then set the plugin’s path from assets/lib/phpids/lib to assets/libs/phpids/lib...

p.s. will set params back to original 5 and 15 respectively.

Yes, your settings are correct.

The path settings for PHPIDS where done, because someone needed only one PHPIDS implementation with different MODx implementations on subfolders.
