Hi! I’ve installed gallery package

in resources tree I show "Gallery Connector" (disabled) and in Components menu I show gallery but I’ve two problems:


1) when I try to upload photos in album is show an error during thumb creation
2) I’d like to show a list of photo (X thumb that can be opened) in a specified area of my document.... is it possible?

What’s the error? Probably a permissions issue on your end.

Revolution is beta software. Plus, this problem seems to be that your permissions on the file is incorrect, which says to me that your server is incorrectly configured.

Based upon your questions on the forum as of late, I would recommend that you switch to MODx Evolution, which is better supported, more stable, and has more documentation. You do not seem to be familiar enough with MODx terminology and function to use a beta version of its new core. I’m not saying that as an insult to you, but rather as a recommendation - Revolution is in beta and an entirely new product, and therefore is not yet ready for those not willing to dive into the code and figure things out themselves.

We hope to have Revolution at that point for easy end-user usage as this year progresses; but currently, Revolution is not ready for users not wanting to get their feet dirty. I would recommend you switch to Evolution and go from there. You’ll probably find it easier and simpler (albeit lacking some advanced features Revo has) to use.

I know that Revo is in beta test and not stable and I’ve installed Evo version... but I don’t want to create a custom template and contents on a product that in the next X months will be old because Revo has new features,template tags ....


You’ve written that I can have problems on folder permission ... I’m working on a local server, can you tell me the folder where I’ve to set write (or other) permissions?

in manager area I can find Gallery from menu, when i click on it, i expect to add new album and save. When i click add i get an edit new album pop up

but no change save on click save and the pop up does not close.


could you help?
