Woohoo! Just checking in again to see if 1.3.1 is there, and it’s already there for a week!!

This tool is just so cool, thanks a ton, Lammikko! laugh

I just have one question regarding the hide field and tabs options for front-end editors in the configuration parameters. I tried to set "general, settings, meta" as tabs options, for example, but this did not work for a manager user with role authority of editing and saving resources (and no other authorities).

How would I have to set the role for this user, so that he is a "front-end editor" for qm+ 1.3.1. in evo 1.0.0?

(Checked system events: OnWebPagePrerender, OnManagerLogout, OnManagerPageInit, OnDocFormPrerender, and OnDocFormSave)

Try "general,settings,meta" (with no ~~commas~~ spaces). That should hide all tabs for everyone. "Hide document tabs from front-end editors" and "Hide document fields from front-end editors" configuration options are not linked to user roles.

If you want more refined/role based hiding of tabs and fields I suggest you to use ManagerManager plugin.

Oh, I see, it hides your selected field whenever you use the thickbox instead of the manager! No worry about user roles, that makes it even easier.

You are right, I had put in whitepaces after commas (copy&paste is not always your friend, I guess...). But this didn’t do the trick yet. I can do things like changing the modal box window height and width, though. I am not using ManagerManager (want to keep it to the most essential features, as I am still an absolute novice), and there is no change when I turn of jquery for frontend either.

The only change in the display of tabs/fields happens when I log in as administrator, because the meta tab will be shown then (my editor role has no authority for that). Would you need to know my configuration (I had just put the page live), or do you think I should just install ManagerManager for fine tuning qm+?

You could copy/paste your QM+ configurations settings here (just copy the whole configuration settings textarea). Or you can try for example these configuration settings if they make any difference:

I tried your configuration, but with no difference. These are mine:

Changing window size works, but hiding tabs doesn’t yet.

On your configuration you have "Load jQuery in manager" disabled. Enable that and all should be fine. At least it worked with my test server.

Too bad, this did not work either with my system.

On my local XAMPP I still had the bundled version, and I was able to hide some fields with that.

I tried to check if hiding tabs or fields with 1.3.1 works on XAMPP, too. But when I changed evo’s bundled files with 1.3.1 files (including those in the js folder), I get an error message in the manager:

Warning: Missing argument 13 for Qm::Qm(), called in D:\Eigene_Dateien\Daten\xampp\htdocs\XXX\manager\includes\document.parser.class.inc.php(746) : eval()'d code on line 2 and defined in D:\Eigene_Dateien\Daten\xampp\htdocs\XXX\assets\plugins\qm\qm.inc.php on line 16

I don’t have these errors on the live page, however. Maybe I just made a mistaking copying the files here.

There shouldn’t be any errors. I suggest you to remove all version of QuickManager+ (files and plugins from manager) and try installing again.

I tried this, but still with no effect at my live page. Window resizing works, hiding fields or tabs doesn’t. I did a reinstall at my local server, too, and there it works. Does qm+ have any system requirements, maybe? I have php 5.2.9 locally, and php 4.3.11 live.

As far as I know there shouldn’t be any reason why QM+ wouldn’t work with PHP 4. Though there is some legacy code in QM+ from original QuickManager plugin left but still with quick overview I can’t see any problems. I’ll have to test with PHP 4 when I have the time.

Can someone confirm that QM+ has problems with PHP 4?
