Cannot add or save templates in Resources section

I have a new site that I restored onto my server from backup files from the initial developer. I uninstalled the directory structure and reran the installer. I then imported the data from the database via phpmysql. Everything seems to work fine except being able to save changes to the existing templates. I tried copying/duplicating the template, but could not save that one either. My developer noticed the same thing on TV’s and chunks. When you click save, the right hand part of the window goes white and doesn’t refresh. You can click on other areas to get the system to refresh, but changes are lost.

Any suggestions on how to proceed to fix this issue is very appreciated.
