Support/Comments for DateTimePicker plugin

hi,

i’ve tried to install the DateTimePicker plugin as explained, but unfortunately it’s not working (yet). when i click on the date button, still the old datetimepicker window appears. i have modx 0.9.6.3 installed, i’m using the german language package, and i’ve even selected OnDocFormPrerender. do i have to remove the default datetimepicker somehow or what can i do to get this nice plugin running?

No, you need not remove default datepicker.
All you to do is installing the plugin and enable system events for the plugin.
Please, confirm JavaScript doesn’t cause errors.

On modx 0963, the specifications of TV name is changed.
So, when you use NON-alpahbetical or NON-numeric characters as TV name, JavaScript never run.

(Because characters like symbols, unicode characters are URI-encoded and enbed in modx manager’s XHTML.
Actually, they are invalid JavaScript.
Then JavaScript is used in plugin cannot retrieve the XHTML elements.
It’s also the same as ManagerManger plugin etc.)

Found this plugin today. It’s great and works fine for me at 0.9.6.3.

Is there a way to get a default time setting, e.g. 01:00:00 or 00:00:10 or so?

FYI, doesn’t look like it current works in Safari. Definitely need to debug it. wink

Fixed Safari. Use this in place of the for loop:

        for (var i = 0; i < dates.length; i ++) {
            $(dates[i].field).attr('class', 'plugin-datetimepicker-field-' + (i + 1));
            $(dates[i].trigger).attr('class', 'plugin-datetimepicker-trigger-' + (i + 1));
            if ('show' in dates[i]) {
                $(dates[i].show).attr('class', 'plugin-datetimepicker-show-' + (i + 1));
            }
            $(dates[i].trigger).removeAttr('onclick');
        }

Also, remove the $(document).ready(function(){ in the ManagerManager plugin. It’s not required since everything is already encapsulated in a "ready" function.

I’m concerned that this plugin does not seem to allow for entering dates prior to 1999. I need to be able to enter dates back to 1929. Is it possible?

Also, I never need to set a time, and would like to be able to have a default time set (00:00:00). Is there a way?

I notice there have been no comments here for a long time. Does that mean this plugin is no longer supported?

I am using Evo 1.0.5 and am still getting the old calendar popping up even though other changes have happened to indicate that it is working to some extent.

Will this plugin only work in the content manager? I am looking for a popup that I can use on a form, any suggestions

Yes.
Since Evolution, popup datetime picker has been built in MODX by the default, so now I recommend using the new one rather than this plugin.
If you want to build datetime picker in front-end, you can try other scripts like jQuery UI.
