Ok, so the subject is a little dramatic but that’s basically what it looks like.
Anytime I carry out even basic formatting on TinyMCE (REVO), I get these huge
paragraph breaks and line breaks appearing mid way through my text.
When I look at the html, there are no corresponding BR or P tags.
It’s sucking the fun out of editing any documents. I can live with it if I have to but it doesn’t seem to happen in Evo and
my clients who are not as HTML profficient are finding it annoying.
Any ideas?
TinyMCE is an abomination (just my $.02). Are you using the current version? I haven’t seen that with the latest release.
Also, I find it sometimes helps to completely remove TinyMCE before installing a new version.
Hi Bob.
Yeo, am using the latest version and the latest stable version of Revo too.
I’ve attached a screenshot. As you can see, the first paragraph has a closing P tag but it’s almost like it has a huge Margin applied to it in the RTE.
If I were to edit that text again, the content would often reformat itself to a slightly different variation.
I’m not the best person to help you because I don’t actually use TinyMCE.
Is there a style sheet attached? It looks as though there might be a style sheet attached for TinyMCE with bogus paragraph padding, margins, and/or line height. There is a way to attach your own style sheet for TinyMCE to use, but I can’t remember how to do it.
Looking at it in FireBug might give you a clue.
