Has anyone got this up and running?

To see this calendar working you can view it on my site here: http://www.muddydogpaws.com/notebook

Ideally I would like a calendar with dates with a different colour, that when moused over give me some details about the event. Once clicked it takes me to the blog entry.

Anyone done something like this, with this snippet (or another)?

Doesn’t look like anyone has done much since last year - but DittoCall would come in VERY handy for our site

Unfortunately, in debug mode, this is the error I get (no data bacK)

Hi, I have the same output for JSON :

The id of the document si set as the date !! where does it come from ??

As a result, Dittocal displays year 1999 and no link... Previous/Next month links do noting : the link is changed, but year 1999 is still displayed.

I’m using Ditto 2.0.2 and reflect 1.0.2 (packaged by default with Modx 0.9.6.1p2)

I followed everything in the install instructions and can’t make the calendar up & running..

it gives me the following error

Is it possible to show the event title in the calendar?
And is it possible to open a popup when clicked on an event?
And last, is it possible to show 10 upcoming events?

Hi Guys

I’ve been getting the same error as a few others on here:

PHP error debug
Error: file_get_contents(http://mysite.co.uk/modx/index.php?id=47) [function.file-get-contents]: failed to open stream: Connection refused

I found a workaround for it, although it’s far from ideal. I made a separate php file that I uploaded to a different server, with the following inside:

//Get the json formatted data
$ch = curl_init();
$timeout = 5; // set to zero for no timeout
curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_URL, ’http://mysite.co.uk/modx/index.php?id=47’ );
curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_RETURNTRANSFER, 1);
curl_setopt ($ch, CURLOPT_CONNECTTIMEOUT, $timeout);
$source = curl_exec($ch);
curl_close($ch);
echo $source;
?>

Then I reference that php page from my MODx site to get the json data from it.

I got the same error. I realised that even though my json page was using a blank template, tinymce had wrapped the ditto call in <p> tags. remove these and it should work. Best change text editor to none, on the page containing your ditto json call.

DittoCal does not work with the ditto parameter &dateSource=`pub_date` this is a problem as I have created blog posts that I want to appear to have been created at a different time/date.

E.g I created a blog post on 29th June, but I want it to show in the calendar as 5th June, as that is when the event took place, or when the content was originally written. How can I do this?

There are some issues with multibyte languages (Russian for example): day&month names displays like "Ð¡ÐµÐ½Ñ�Ñ�Ð±Ñ�Ñ�" instead of "Сентябрь" et cetra.
The fix is to replace htmlentities to htmlspecialchars in lines 321 and 333. This is discussed here.
Also, day names are cut incorrectly - if I set day_name_length to 1, then I get ’�’ instead of first letter, and if 2 then only one letter. It can be fixed by replacing

substr($d,0,$day_name_length)

to

mb_substr($d,0,$day_name_length,'UTF-8')

(it’s neccessary to point encoding directly), although I don’t know how it will interfere with other charsets.
