Before I definitely give up, is there a chance this would work by checking a TV (switch/donotswitch) ?
That would be just awesome smiley

Could this work ? (Again, sorry for my php illiteracy...)

if(!strstr($modx->getTemplateVarOutput, "donotswitch")) { // this page is not switchable

is there an option to clear the cookie? mabe javascript or somthing like that?

It would be nice if a visitor could clear his/her cookie that way.

Susan; I hate to be so dense - but where do you change System events to OnLoadWebDocument.
I cannot find it in the Manage Module tab.
          Thanks,
          HalD

Hi hald, you need to be adding it as a plugin (not a module) - Go to: Manager->Manage Resources->Plugin Tab and create a new plugin and paste the code there, then you should see the System Events tab where you can select the event.

I know this thread hasnt been posted in in a long time, however I am looking at using this plugin but perhaps with a slight twist.

I am creating a template but will do so with a couple of variables. The site needs to cater for two or three resolution sizes as well as for people with visual difficulties. The site needs to remain as a static width and so using large text would prove to be aweful.

I am wanting to allow users to switch between templates website wise by means of a drop down menu. So when they first come to the site it is on a particular template and then they can select the one they suits them. What would also be awesome is to be able to offer them the ability to keep this as their default setting by means of the cookie.

              Is this possible at all?

              Regards,

              Tom.

I’m having trouble finding the TemplateSwitcher plugin. All links I could find to it resulted in a 404. Is there a reason that it has been pulled?

Hi there. I tried out Your plugin and it works pretty well, however it interferes with MaxiGallery somehow so that galleries are not shown. I guess MaxiGallery doesn’t even start. It lists childagalleries OK, but shows nothing when inside a gallery. It works when TemplateSwithcher is disabled. Any ideas?
I’m using this plugin to switch between languages.

                  TemplateSwitcher 1.2, cookies are on;

is it possible on a page to get an popup page with the same tv’s and content but a different template? i don’t want to duplicate my page, just popup the same page with different template.
