Registration - using other standard fields

Using the login addon I thought I could update other standard fields as part of Registration? I’ve added this to the form to update state

<label for="state" class="formLabel">[[%register.state]]
            <span class="error">[[+error.state]]</span>
        </label>
        <input type="text" name="state:required" id="state" value="[[+state]]" class="formInput" />
<div class="clear-all"><!-- --></div>

but it displays "register.state" as the label and doesn’t update the field?

The % token is for the lexicon entry - there isn’t one for register.state. I think there might be one for %login.state (but all it does is output ’State’ so you might as well type that in yourself).

eg:

      <label for="state" class="label">County
            <span class="error">[[+error.state]]</span>
        </label>
        <input type="text" name="state" id="state" value="[[+state]]" />

That definitely works. Perhaps it’s the validation on ’state:required’ that isn’t working/correct?
