    This is definitely beyond me. I tried adding that setTags snippet you suggested and I get a parse error.
    Do you have any recommendations on who I could contact (even if I have to pay them) to get the functionality I want?

    It works fine to use the tagLister call and click the tag name. Then I receive the results I want in the right place but that’s not how I need these pages to function. This seems like it should be pretty simple thing for MODx to do. I’ve read a couple other threads asking for the same thing and their solutions are not "user friendly", meaning there is no way I can ask my client to go through those hoops just to show a list of related resources.

    Even if I could get the page to run
    [[!tagLister? &tv=`tags` &target=`[[*id]]`]]

    on page load, then I could hide it’s output with css, and the
    [[!getResourcesTag? &elementClass=`modSnippet` &element=`getResources` &tpl=`relatedContentItem` &parents=`0` &resources=`-[[*id]]` &limit=`5` &includeContent=`0`
    &toPlaceholder=`related` ]]

    would function just fine.

      Sorry -- brain-dead typo in my code. It was missing a right bracket. It should be:

      /* SetTag snippet code */
      $_GET['tags']='test';
      return '';

      Give it another try.

        No parse error now but it doesn’t seem to change anything with my results. I wish I new something about php. If you have any other ideas I’d love to hear them but if not I completely understand.

          I found kind of a solution here on the forums. It only works for with a single tag, but it’s a start.

          Forum member Jakob has made some additions to the getResourcesTag snippet that add the functionality I needed. They haven’t been added to the official version yet, so I duplicated the getResourcesTag snippet and renamed it getResourcesTagMod and copy and pasted in the modified code. Seems to be working.

          Thanks so much for your help Bob.
