    Hello,

I am trying to set the default published to yes for foreign languages in babel.
I have set up a separate context for each language. In the context settings tabe I added
"publish_default" and set it to yes.

    It is still not working...

    Any ideas?

    Thanks

Babel ignores this setting because it makes no sense to auto-publish translations created by Babel:

      • Babel adds a [translation pending] to the title
      • initially the content is copied from the source and needs to be translated by an editor
After creating a translation you should definitely translate all the content before publishing the newly created resource...

What about after the initial copy done by babel? Can it then be set to published by default after the translated page has been created or is that not possible?

Of course it is possible but my arguments from above still remain: It makes no-sense to publish a copy created by Babel. The copy contains no translated content (by now Babel is not able to translate wink ). This has to be done by an editor first.
