Hi folks, a newbie’s problem. Apologies if this is covered in the documentation, but I haven’t found it (or maybe didn’t understand what I found).

I want a page that will aggregate resources from a starting point passed as a parameter. In Evo I could do this by passing a parameter along with the URL; I had a page saying:
    [!Ditto? &extenders=`request`]]
and I called that page (which had ID=29,say) with a URL ending:
    ... index.php?id=29&ditto_parents=2
The Ditto call then did its stuff starting at the node with ID 2.

I cannot puzzle out how to do this in Revo and would greatly appreciate help.

    Thanks!

      search for ’param’ in package-management.
      there is getreqparam and geturlparam.

      [[!getResources? &parents=`[[!getReqParam? &name=`gr_parents` &type=`REQUEST`]]`]]

Thank you, Bruno17, that works fine.

There may be a more general lesson for me here. How did you know about getUrlParam? I’ve browsed documentation, and the forum, and sampled the packages, spent ages doing that, but didn’t find it. Any tips on how to find stuff?

        Anyway, problem solved. Great.
