    OK so rev 2.05 download Quip and run the install.

    On install the following log file returns:
    /*
    * MODx Console Output
    *
    * @date 2010-12-22 15:07:53
    */
    Attempting to install package with signature: quip-1.2.3-pl

    Package found...now preparing to install.

    Grabbing package workspace...

    Workspace environment initiated, now installing package...

    Could not load class: modAccessPolicyTemplate from mysql.modaccesspolicytemplate.

    Could not load vehicle!

    Could not load class: modAccessPolicyTemplate from mysql.modaccesspolicytemplate.

    Could not load class: modAccessPolicyTemplate from mysql.modaccesspolicytemplate.

    Invalid class specified:

    [Quip] Could not find QuipModeratorPolicyTemplate Access Policy Template!

    Successfully installed package quip-1.2.3-pl

    /* EOF */

    The package SEEMS to install despite those errors - quip is in the database and if I call with :
    [[!Quip? &thread=`eid=[[+id_events_pk]]`]]
            <br />
           [[!QuipReply? &thread=`eid=[[+id_events_pk]]`]]

    Then I get the heading Comments(0) and a row gets added to the database with the correct thread identifier : say eid=208 or eid=116 etc as a page is viewed with the snippet in it.

    However there is no reply form presented. No way of replying. I tried with &requireAuth=`1` when I was logged in and nothing. There is no way of replying.

    There are no chunks under the category Quip in the chunks folder but I have seen elsewhere in this forum that there shouldn’t be.

    Any suggestions?

      Hello,

      I had the same problem. Apparently the new version of quip is not compatible with Revolution 2.0.4. I simply updated my Revolution install to 2.0.6 and then uninstalled quip and then reinstalled it and all looks good. Here is a tutorial for upgrading Revolution:

      http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Upgrading+from+Versions+Earlier+than+2.0.5

      Hope that helps.
