Hi guys.

I’m going through the tutorial in the docs on creating a blog with revo.
I’m encountering a few difficulties - one of which is disabling the avatars in quipreply.

The snippet I’m using is from the tutorial:
    [[!QuipReply?
           &thread=`blog-post-[[*id]]`
           &notifyEmails=`[email protected]`
           &moderate=`1`
           &moderatorGroup=`Moderators`
           &closeAfter=`30`
        ]]

Looking at the docs for quipreply, it appears that avatars are a default feature that can be turned off. So I’ve modified the snippet to:
    [[!QuipReply?
           &thread=`blog-post-[[*id]]`
           &notifyEmails=`[email protected]`
           &moderate=`1`
           &moderatorGroup=`Moderators`
           &closeAfter=`30`
           &useGravatar=`0`
        ]]

After saving the template and clearing the cache, the avatar still appears.
    What could be happening here?
How do I get rid of this annoying feature?

You can do it without touching the php code or adding any additional parameter by just removing the html code and pladeholders for the avatar from you comment chunk.

Following the tutorial, the only chunk I’ve created is ’blogPost’, which I’ve just copied from the tutorial.
        http://rtfm.modx.com/display/revolution20/Creating+a+Blog+in+MODx+Revolution#CreatingaBloginMODxRevolution-Conclusion

I can’t see any placeholders in ’bloghost’ for the avatar.

Looking at the docs for the quip-related snippets, it seems that they have their own chunks. But I can’t find them.

You have to add "&useGravatar=`0`" to your Quip snippet call (Not to QuipReply snippet).

            Thanks.

            I’ll adjust the snippet parameters.

The default Chunk is the following:

              <li class="[[+cls]]" id="[[+idprefix]][[+id]]" [[+depth_margin:notempty=`style="padding-left: [[+depth_margin]]px"`

                      [[+md5email:notempty=``]]

                      [[+authorName]]:
[[+createdon]]
                      [[+approved:if=`[[+approved]]`:is=`1`:then=``:else=`- [[%quip.unapproved? &namespace=`quip` &topic=`default`]]`]]

[[+body]]

                      [[+replyUrl:notempty=`
[[%quip.reply? &namespace=`quip` &topic=`default`]]
`]]

                      [[+report]]
                      [[+options]]

                  [[+children:notempty=`
[[+children]]
`]]

              Just put out this part:

                      [[+md5email:notempty=``]]

You’ll probably to adjust your CSS accordingly.
