We have an Easypoll running on the Homepage. I placed it inside a chunk, but missed the command to add a Value to the submit button. Any ideas? I suspected it may have something to do with the Language settings, but not much else seemed to be influenced by this.

I also need to add a BACK button on the results... help?

      Anyone seen this problem before?
Anyone know Easypoll to help me with where I may change settings/config?

OK, I suppose I’m on my own here...

No point in being lazy - wiill just have to try and make sense of the documentation:

          This is what I found:

          tplVoteOuter

The wrapper template for the vote display. Should at least contain the question, choices and the submit button.
Please note that tplVoteOuter is always wrapped in a div with id="<&identifier>" and class="easypoll", no matter what you put in your Template. This is to ensure functionality of the poll snippet.

          [+question+] = the title/question of the poll.
          [+choices+] = the vote options/choices.
[+submit+] = the submit button will be injected there. Don’t forget this or the user won’t be able to vote.
[+results+] = button to show results. Not mandatory, since results will be shown upon voting.

Still not sure how to add this to my existing chunk, and if I do not already have it in there...

On what version of MOdx are you working ?
EasyPoll is only for 0.9.5 et 0.9.6, if you’re trying to use it with Evolution or Revolution I guess it should not work...

            Cheers

              I’m on Evo 1.0.4.

I tried some other Poll solutions, but this seemed to be the only one that gave some indication of being not too outdated.
Banal - the original creator - does not seem to support it any longer either.

An easy working poll solution is all I need. Surely MODx can comply!!!

                OK. huh

It seems as if I have to create a template for each aspect of the Poll. The documentation is somewhat vague.

Someone out there must have had a requirement for Polls on MODx...

Hi netbox, did you ever get this working as I am trying to install this also with Evo 1.0.4 but just get a blank screen. I have followed all the instructions, created the templates and the poll etc but when it comes to outputting I just get a blank screen. If you could let me know so I know whether I am wasting my time trying to implement this. Thanks

I just loaded EasyPoll and got it working on Evo 1.0.4. Still need to do some tinkering, but the mechanics are working. I can vote, view results, and configure the polls within the manager.

It took some haggling since the CSS was looking for icons that did not exist. If you are getting a blank screen it maybe because you need to translate the poll title and the options, meaning set the internal title to the same value as the translated value (en)

Hi Theost, thanks for that. I couldn’t get it working on the install I had, so as I had just started, I did a new install and tried it on that. Seemed to work, so not sure what happened with the install before. Maybe I did it in the wrong way or something. Anyway it is working now. Thanks for you reply, I just need to do some configuring on the css, as you say, to find the correct image paths.
