Snippet multiple execution times

Hello everyone,

I recently had to help debug speed issues on one modx website and after some tests i found out that one snippet which is already pretty slow (because of connecting to outside db and retrieving blob fields) is executing three times on one page view although it should be executed only once.

I suppose this is some kind of modx architecture thing (related to caching or something), but is it possible to change this? Or maybe this is bug?

That’s kind of hard to say without more information. What version of MODx? Do your snippet tags get used in more than one place? Is there something that is loading the template/chunk/content where the snippet tags exist causing duplication of content?
