Snippet works great. Thanks for your hard work senica. But I have a problem.
When I use the function "getRecentPosts(5)", it returns an array of the five most recent post in DESC order - even posts which are published in the future.
Could someone suggest a way to modify either the function or the snippet to limit the returned array to only posts that are currently visible? (unfortunately the returned array does not have a publish date) Or should I just move on to an newsfeed type snippet?

Well, I’m sure this post doesn’t help you out now....but I wanted to reply for others that my have a question.
This module doesn’t make calls to the wordpress database. It simply makes calls to the xml-rpc.php file that resides on wordpress. However it gives it back is essentially how it gets displayed. There isn’t a whole lot of control of things like ORDER DESC, ASC or Not published and the such.
