    Hi all,

I am a complete newbie with modx revolution and I am wondering how to create a testimonials plugin. I have no idea how to achieve this.. Do I use TV’s?

Your help would be very much appreciated.

It’s not clear exactly what you want, but I don’t think you’ll need a plugin. A TV or a Chunk will probably do it.

You’ll have to say more about what you’re trying to do and why in order for us to help you.

I’ve used Jot for exactly this kind of thing; while it is usually used for comments to posts or articles, it’s great for managing any kind of relatively simple list, like FAQ question/answer pairs, Employee bios and images, or testimonials. With Jot, you can even allow web users to add their own to the list with a moderator having to approve it before it gets published, or you can just leave the addition of new items to Manager users as you prefer. Jot has a set of mini-templates it uses for both the input form and the output display structure, as well as the moderation section. The structure of these are a bit daunting at first, but once you look it over a few times it becomes clear how the conditional settings work (using PHx).
