    I’ve seen several other posts on this and still can’t figure out why JOT won’t email me as the admin of the site and member of the web user group "Blog Admins" that I created. Does anyone else think this is way too much configuration? By default is should only be one parameter to turn on modification and it should email the admin of the site (imho).

    [!Jot? &action=`comments` &subscribe=`1` &pagination=`10` &css=`1` &badwords=`{{myBadwordList}}` &bw=`2` &tpl=`commentsLayout` &moderated=`1` &notify=`2` &canmoderate=`Blog Admins`!]
    <div class="contact-us">
    [!Jot? &action=`form` &captcha=`1`  &notify=`2`!]

    Here is my chunk commentsLayout:

    <p class="comment">[+comment.content:wordwrap:esc:nl2br+]</p>
                            	<p class="author"><strong>[+comment.createdby:userinfo=`username`:ifempty=`[+comment.custom.name:ifempty=`[+jot.guestname+]`:esc+]`+][+comment.createdby:isnt=`0`:then=``+]</strong> - [+comment.createdon:date=`%A, %B %d, %Y`+]</p>

    Incidently, the badwords check doesn’t work either.

    Hating JOT right now.

    :)

      You need the &notifyAuthor=`1` tag, not &notify

      Greets

      EDIT: oops, both tags are possible. I don’t know about &notify, but &notifyAuthor does send me emails as admin of the site

        Solved this! My bad words filter and notification emails are working.

        I had two Jot calls to style the presentation of the blog. One call was for comments the other for the form.

        I was putting the parameters in my comments call instead of the form. As well I switched out the &notify parameter with &notifyAuthor.

        So this now works:

        [!Jot? &action=`comments` &pagination=`10` &css=`1`  &tpl=`commentsLayout`!]

        [!Jot? &action=`form` &captcha=`1`  &badwords=`{{myBadwordList}}` &bw=`1`  &canmoderate=`Site Admins` &subscribe=`1` &notifyAuthor=`1`!]

        whew -- that wasn’t easy!
