Resolved: Googlemaps TV throwing an error during install

Hey all!

This is my first post in this forum, I dropped it on the right spot.

Today I installed Revolution 2.0.0-rc-2 (clean) and tried to install the googlemapstv from the manager. Although all other applications (like sitemap) did install correctly, googlemapstv keeps on throwing errors. The last lines seems to be most important and they write:

Package found...now preparing to install.
Attempting to install package with signature: googlemapstv-1.0-rc3
Successfully installed package googlemapstv-1.0-rc3
Grabbing package workspace...
Workspace environment initiated, now installing package...
Error executing xPDOVehicle validator: type php (/home/mvdijke/domains/eykmanplein.nl/public_html/core/packages/googlemapstv-1.0-rc3/modSystemSetting/9a3059c750beb19fa624f65a7e22247b.paths.validator.validator)

Does anybody have any idea?

I am getting the same error. Using RC-3. The TV doesn’t show up. Using normal PL release of Revo.

Edit:
I just realised as I was uninstalling the googlemapstv package that it was not able to find any of the files that were supposedly copied into place when the package was installed.

It appears that this was a permissions problem for me. Try double checking your permissions!

I am facing the same issue and it is driving me crazy. I don’t think it is permission related, all my other packages do install correctly. Mine is throwing this error

I may have found a solution guys, here is what I did and it turns out to be a true permission issue after all.

Since I can’t judge what was relevant, I list all the things I did to make it work, there could be stupid actions listed sorry for that.

• Set you permission to 777 on the following 3 folders:[list]
  [li]/manager/templates/default/element/tv/render/properties
• /core/model/modx/processors/element/tv/render/mgr/propperties
• /core/model/modx/processors/element/tv/render/web/output

[/li]
[li]Install your Googlemapstv--it worked fo me this time[/li]
[li]Set your permissions back to 755 on the folders above[/li]
[/list]

It worked for me!
