    Hi,

I’m having problems getting a thumbnail image to appear in an article summary using ’tvimageresizer’.

I’m currently adapting a work-around using the following Chunk :

    <h3 class="articlesummary"><a href="[~[+id+]~]">[+pagetitle+]</a></h3>
    <a href="[~[+id+]~]">
    <a title="[+longtitle+]"><img title="[+longtitle+]" style="float: left; margin-right: 10px;" src="[+articleimage+]" alt="[+pagetitle+]" width="110" height="110" /></a>
    <p>[+longtitle+]</p><p>[+introtext+] <a href="[~[+id+]~]">

    <strong>Continue reading article...</strong></a></p>

with the following placed in my Template :

    [!Ditto? &parents=`21` &tpl=`librarytemplate` &display=`6` &paginate=`1` &paginateAlwaysShowLinks=`0` !]
    Showing [+start+] - [+stop+] of [+total+] Articles | Page [+currentPage+] of [+totalPages+]
    [+previous+] [+pages+] [+next+]

Using these together brings in the original image, scaled to 110 x 100px.

I have installed ’tvimageresizer’ and thumbnails are being generated in my ’assets/images’ folder. What I’m unclear about is the code I need to add to get ’tvimageresizer’ thumbnails showing rather than my work-around.

    Thanks in advance.

It is probably better for you to use PHx modifier, phpthumb
it will resize your images on the fly without problems.

tvimageresizer works by selecting the image and the user/client
has to click resize and either accept the default or set new
      width and height.

When I tried to use it, it gave me weird results depending on
the size of the original image... phpthumb work great in my
      experience.
