own little config file

Hi,

I thought, I came across something like that some time befor, but didn’t find it yet:

I would like to have the option to put some configs anywhere, where they can be taken from.

For example I would like to have sidebars with different items in different templates - would like to have only one sidebar, with gets its items by a config.
So I could write:
template 1 has item 1, 4, 9
template 2 has item 1, 5
...

Think that could also be usefull in other situations.
For example to configurate snippet-calls - yeah, I think therefor is the think I saw - to make it easier to for example call Ditto etc. on multiple sides by call [[Ditto? &parent=`2` &config=one]] or something - and an every page you call that you get the same thing, only some parameters are different.

Any ideas where to find the Snippet or thing I wrote about?!

This allows you to create a bunch of chunks which can be customised to show/hide individually for each page.
You can snippet calls inside each chunk if you wish to make it more interesting. The real beauty is that you give the power back to the CMS user, they can pick or choose what goes there - but they cant mess with it! (unless you let them of course)

I realise this is nothing to do with creating a config file - but in terms of the scenario you described it look like it might be worth also looking at.

Thanks to mrhaw and crunch I think that was exactly what I was looking for!
