Getting Basic WebSignup to work

I’ve looked everywhere and it seems like this should be simple.

I’m trying to use websignup to allow people to signup and become part of the group "coaches"

The group is created, I can users from the manager and then the WebLogin works fine. But when someone tries to signup, nothing happens. The form clears and no users are added, you can put whatever you want in the boxes - it says required fields but nothing at all works.

Here’s the call I’m using: [[WebSignup? &groups=’coaches’]]

I only have one group. I’m using version 1.02 and these snippets were there after standard install.

Any help would be appreciated.

First thing that looks like it could be an issue is using ’ ’ (single quotes) around the snippet params instead of ` ` (backticks).

Try this:

[[WebSignup? &groups=`coaches`]]

If that still doesn’t work, you might also try the snippet call uncached:

[!WebSignup? &groups=`coaches`!]

Well, that did it! I used the uncached one and it worked fine. I’m pretty sure I copied the code directly from somewhere. I guess that was my problem.
