I am using Google Events to pull data from a Google Calendar, but, because there are actually 2 different calendars associated with the calendar email address, data is being pulled from BOTH of the calendars, even though I only want data to be pulled from just one of them. Does anyone know how to restrict the snippet or call parameters so that it only pulls events from the one calendar in question? The current call is as follows:

    [!GoogleEvents?dayNameSize=`1`&outputType=`list` &lastEvent=`45` &maxEvents=`2`&email=`[email protected]`&tpl=`Upcoming2` &tplEmpty=`Upcoming3` &order=`a`&dateFormat=`D, M. j`!]

    Thanks much for any assistance.

I can’t even get GoogleEvents to work on one calender. I did post on the GoogleEvents thread a couple of months ago but got no replies, so I hope you don’t mind me adding my problem here in the hope that someone sees it and can solve it.

My problem is that I can’t get the calender I set up for our rehearsal and concert schedule to display anything on the page at all. I’m sure I must be doing something very simple wrong. The call I’m currently using is this:

      [!GoogleEvents?dayNameSize=`3`&outputType=`list`&maxEvents=`50`&lastEvent=`365`&email=`[ourcalendar]@gmail.com`&dateFormat=`D,Mj`!]

I’ve tried adding in spaces between parameters, taking them out etc. but all I’m seeing on the page is the title that I’ve put in as text, not even an error message. Is it a syntax error?

A possibly related question is this: the readme instructions give the parameters and sample snippets followed by a list of placeholders, separated by the (to me) intriguing sentence

The placeholders that you can use in the chunks passed to the snippet for a template are:

Does this mean the snippet won’t work without using chunks that I’d have to code myself? Is this the "something obvious" I’m missing?

If I’m reading this right, you want to use one Calendar account to create and manage multiple calendars and then use the snippet call to determine which calendar shows up on the page, correct?

I’m doing the same thing and the way you filter the Google calendar is to use the Calendar Address in "Calendar Settings > Calendar Details". Next to the XML, ICAL, HTML icons, you’ll see

        (Calendar ID: [email protected])

Use this as the email for that calendar in your snippet:

        [!GoogleEvents?dayNameSize=`1`&outputType=`list` &lastEvent=`45` &maxEvents=`2`&email=`[email protected]`&tpl=`Upcoming2` &tplEmpty=`Upcoming3` &order=`a`&dateFormat=`D, M. j`!]

Actually, I did misread and thought you were referring to the Calendar Snippet by ChuckTrukk. My suggestion still might work. Or you can try the snippet I mentioned http://modxcms.com/forums/index.php/topic,34824.0.html
