Since ModX Evolution does not provide a workflow system, I’m investigating if this exists and if not, how I could create a simple one myself. The purpose: an editor (no publishing rights) edits a page and when he’s ready with the document, a notificiation is sent to a ’manager’ for redaction (has publishing rights).
My thought was to use a TV, called ’isitfinished’ or something alike, a checkbox with possible values of ’unchecked/0’ (default) and ’checked/1’
When event OnDocFormSave is noticed, the program (plugin?) checks the TV, and if the TV is checked (state ’Yes/1’), then a mail is sent to the manager so she can review the document.
Any ideas?
