Specifying home page

I’ve searched and searched to find an answer to this over the last few hours, but to no avail so sorry if this is explained elsewhere. How do I specify modx’s home page? E.g. I’d like my homepage visible at www.mydomain.org but currently I have to navigate to http://www.mydomain.org/modx-2.0.8-pl/index.php?id=21 to see it. Can anyone shed some light on this? I’m sure it’s very simple but I can’t find the relevant setting.

Looks like you’ve dropped the whole modx folder into your site root, instead of just the contents.

I think you could simply move everything out of the folder and into the root, then if things are not working run the installer in update mode to correct the file paths.
Haven’t done that before though so no guarantees!

If you want to change the resource that acts as your homepage (so is displayed when there’s no page id/alias specified) change the site_start system setting.
