Just been playing with the AWS Cloud Formation.

There are a whole lot of templates for CMS systems such as Drupal, Wordpress, Joomla that you can select and roll out a AWS Stack.

Think it would be good for Modx if someone would create a template file.

Would love to do it my self but command line linux just beats me:P

    Just a thought anyway.

We’ve actually thought about this and have looked at doing this ourselves for setting up demo sites, etc. Thanks for the gentle prodding. smiley

What exactly would this mean? I’m looking forward to develop a templating system for MODX… but don’t know much about the AWS CF. What’s the benefit with that and how is it used?

It would let modx users deploy a bunch of AWS services with a simple wizard.

Normally to set up AWS as a web server hosting Modx you need to do it manually and its quite techy. You need to be able to work with command line linux, an understand a bit a server infrastructure and cloud configuration.

Tried. Failed. But will try again.
