    hello

    I have an issue that has just sprung up. Sorry if it is covered elsewhere, I have searched the forum but see nothing relevent.

    I am using MODx 0.9.6.1p2 with Weblogin v1 snippet.

    A user registers successfully (using WebSignup snippet) and then goes to the site log-in form. They fill out their log-in details and are greeted with a blank page where it should load the default home page (page Id 71). Manually entering the home page URL shows that the user is not logged in and cannot access protected content.

    I am calling WebLogin snippet using:

    [!WebLogin? &tpl=`FormLogin` &loginhome=`71` &useCaptcha=`1`!]

    FormLogin chunk looks like:

    <!-- #declare:separator <hr> -->
    <!-- login form section-->
    <form method="post" name="loginfrm" action="[+action+]">
        <input type="hidden" value="[+rememberme+]" name="rememberme" />
        <fieldset>
            <h3>Your Login Details</h3>
            <label for="username">Your User Name:*<input type="text" name="username" id="username" tabindex="1" onkeypress="return webLoginEnter(document.loginfrm.password);" value="[+username+]" /></label>
        	<label for="password">Password:*<input type="password" name="password" id="password" tabindex="2" onkeypress="return webLoginEnter(document.loginfrm.cmdweblogin);" value="" /></label>
        	<input type="checkbox" id="checkbox_1" name="checkbox_1" tabindex="3" size="1" value="" [+checkbox+] onclick="webLoginCheckRemember()" /><label for="checkbox_1" class="checkbox">Remember me</label>
        	<label for="captcha">[+captcha+]</label>
        	<label> </label><input type="submit" value="[+logintext+]" name="cmdweblogin" class="button" />
    	</fieldset>
        <div><a href="#" onclick="webLoginShowForm(2);return false;">Forgot Your Password?</a></div>
    </form>
    <hr>
    <!-- log out hyperlink section -->
    <h4>You're already logged in</h4>
    Do you wish to <a href="[+action+]" class="button">[+logouttext+]</a>?
    <hr>
    <!-- Password reminder form section -->
    <form name="loginreminder" method="post" action="[+action+]">
        <fieldset>
            <h3>It happens to everyone...</h3>
            <input type="hidden" name="txtpwdrem" value="0" />
            <label for="txtwebemail">Enter the email address of your account to reset your password: <input type="text" name="txtwebemail" id="txtwebemail" size="24" /></label>
            <label>To return to the login form, press the cancel button.</label>
        	<input type="submit" value="Submit" name="cmdweblogin" class="button" /> <input type="reset" value="Cancel" name="cmdcancel" onclick="webLoginShowForm(1);" class="button" style="clear:none;display:inline" />
        </fieldset>
    </form>

    If it is any help, the source for the blank page that loads reads:

    <!DOCTYPE HTML PUBLIC "-//W3C//DTD HTML 4.0 Transitional//EN">
    <HTML><HEAD>
    <META content="text/html; charset=utf-8" http-equiv=Content-Type></HEAD>
    <BODY></BODY></HTML>

    I would be grateful for any assistance.

    Thanks

    L

      sorry to bump this but I still cannot work out why this is happening and I am losing subscribers.

      I am not even sure how to diagnose MODx in order to find a solution.

      I really would welcome any advice.

        You’re running a very old version of MODx. I would suggest upgrading to Evo and the version of Weblogin that it comes with. I suspect it will help, or at least give us a current version of code from which to continue helping you troubleshoot.

          Hello there

          OK, will do.

          Thanks

          In the meantime, I think I may have hit on something. I recently removed my SMFconnector module but had left behind the related plugin. This was still linked to onLogin events (amongst others). I am going to try deleting that and see if it helps....
