Easy Newsletter - SQL Syntax Error

I’m getting this error from the front end of my site when trying to subscribe to easy newsletter.

« Execution of a query to the database failed - You have an error in your SQL syntax; check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near ’’ at line 1 »
SQL: SELECT * FROM ergc_questionare where id=

I have a line in the snippet: $sql = "SELECT * FROM `easynewsletter_config` WHERE `id` = 1";

Is there an error there?
